Eyelash Extension Customer Care Instructions and Appointment

APPOINTMENT: It is important to not move around, or allow your lashes to flutter during your appointment. This makes it very difficult for the extensions to be applied. As much as we may enjoy our conversations with you sometimes we are just not able to talk to you due to the fact that your lashes may flutter while you talk. Fluttering eyes can also cause burning and irritation to the eyes from the fumes getting into a partially open eye.

MEDICATION: Certain medications can cause the glue to breakdown. A few of the known ones are antibiotics and antidepressants. Everyone is different, and this does not affect everyone, but just be aware that it’s a possibility! Fluctuating on your medications can also cause the glue to breakdown.

WHEN RETURNING for regular touchups, DO NOT wear any makeup. IF YOU CHOOSE TO COME IN WITH MAKEUP ON, YOU ARE RISKING THE EXTENSIONS TO NOT PROPERLY BOND AND IT IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND WILL COST YOU MORE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN! Your lash artist has a set amount of time scheduled specifically for your appointment, if they have to spend time cleaning your lashes it will take away from the application process. If you need to remove makeup prior to your appointment, please come in earlier and do so. This will also significantly cut down the time you spend at the salon.

When having facial work done, inform all your service reps about your eyelash extensions.  Caution is recommended when receiving services that include lasers, chemical peels, hydroxyl treatments and/or any other acidic substances applied to your face.

MAINTENANCE AND TOUCH UP:  Semi-Permanent Lashes are permanent with regular touch-ups.  Just as you would expect, today’s higher quality lash extensions are soft, weightless and a true extension of your natural lash.

EVERY 30-45 DAYS approximately 1/3 of your natural lashes fall out. As each lash sheds, a new lash is replacing the old.  During this time, general maintenance is needed to keep your lashes looking full and natural.

AFTER THE INITIAL 24 HOURS OF A FILL OR FULL SET clean your lashes NIGHTLY after you cleanse your face. Please be sure to use the LashPu, and mini kabuki brush. DIRECTIONS wet the brush, apply 3 pumps of LashPu, using the brush go in a circular motion over the extensions with your eyes closed. This will help drive the LashPu in between the extensions and gently break down the oils and makeup that may have built up on the extensions from the day. Rinse the cleanser away, pat to dry, and gently brush the extensions

BETWEEN REGULAL APPOINTMENTS brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand, ideally when your lashes are wet or when you step out of the shower.

AS A REMINDER; to allow the adhesive to fully cure, avoid getting the lashes wet for the initial 24 hours following your appointment.  Every time you touch your lashes, you are transferring natural oils and germs - minimize contact.  Oils & oil based products, and products with glycol will affect the adhesion, causing the extensions to fall out prematurely.  Only water-based (oil free) products are approved. You can purchase these through your lash artist.
